Welcome to BX Racing
BX Racing is owned and operated by up-and-coming young trainer Brady Cross.Brady got his first taste of the racing industry at six years old, when he began shadowing a local trainer in his hometown of Stawell. Eager to learn as much as possible, Brady was a regular at the stables and quickly developed a passion for horses. During his early years, he gained valuable knowledge in all aspects of horse welfare and racing, all the while dreaming of becoming a jockey.
In 2001 Brady became an apprentice jockey to trainer, Darren Weir. He quickly made his mark in the saddle, achieving Leading Victorian Country Apprentice Jockey 2002-2003. Brady went on to forge a successful nine-year career, riding home over 500 winners before retiring due to weight-related issues.
In 2017, not yet ready to leave the industry he loved, Brady decided to transition into training horses. Four years into his new venture, he is finding his rhythm and keen to expand his stable.
Brady takes a hands-on approach to training, getting a feel for the horses by riding and galloping them himself. He has a keen eye and prides himself on selecting well bred, correct, sound horses.
BX Racing provides meticulous care to their horses to give them every possible chance of achieving their best. The team is dedicated to keeping the horses happy and fresh, so they enjoy what they do.

At BX Racing, we encourage you to follow your horse’s progress. We pride ourselves on open communication and have a strong rapport with jockeys and owners. When you become an owner with BX Racing, you will receive regular updates via email and, where possible, video.
